Banana and Oat Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of oats
  • 1/3 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup of peanut butter

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

On a rainy summer’s day (or any day),try making this delicious Banana and Oat Cookies with your little one! These cookies pack in lots of nutrients while tasting terrific. Plus making cookies is so much fun and helps your child learn measurements and numbers. 

Step by Step Instructions

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium-sized bowl, use a fork to mash the banana until it is mushy.

Add in the oats, peanut butter and sugar. Combine by stirring.

Mix in the chocolate chips.

Use a spoon to drop circles of dough onto the lined baking sheet.

Bake for about ten minutes (or until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned).

Notes

These Banana and Oat Cookies are perfect snacks for the lunchbox for school. Your little one will be excited to eat his/her cookies at snacktime!
