Macaroni and cheese is often a favorite with kids. This recipe of Mac-n-Cheese Pastina has been created for little ones in mind! By adding in vegetables and meat as your child gets older, this recipe can become even more healthy, offer more nutrients, and keep your child interested in eating.
Step by Step Instructions
Cook the pastina according to the directions on the package.
As the pastina is cooking, add cubes of cheese. American and Colby cheeses are good ones to start with; as your child gets older, other stronger cheeses may be used.
Melt the cheese in the pot with the pasta and stir thoroughly to coat the pastina.
Add a few tablespoons of whole milk when the cheese is melted and stir thoroughly.
Serve the Mac-n-Cheese pastina warm.
Notes
As your baby grows older and begins to eat more of a variety of foods, you can add vegetables and meats to the Mac-n-Cheese pastina. This adds different textures and tastes, as well as being chunkier for little fingers to pick up.
